Sustainable mobility refers to any form of transportation that aims to meet people’s travel needs in an efficient and safe way, while causing the least possible environmental, social, and economic impact.
WHAT IS THE KEY ELEMENT AT MOOVE CARS TO REDUCE THIS IMPACT?
Thanks to the introduction of electric cars in our vehicle fleet, we have been able to transform the current transportation model into one that is cleaner, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly.
In this way, we reinforce our commitment and reduce our fleet’s environmental impact as much as possible.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC CARS?
These types of vehicles have more benefits than you might think, and below are the most important ones:
- They have zero local emissions — they do not release polluting gases during use, which improves air quality.
- They contribute to greater energy efficiency, as electric motors convert about 85% of energy during operation.
- Due to their motor, they are much quieter, helping reduce urban noise pollution.
- When recharged with renewable energy sources (solar, wind), their environmental impact is significantly reduced.
WHERE DO WE HAVE ELECTRIC CARS?
For now, we have several electrified parking facilities throughout Spain.
These cities contribute to all the features mentioned above: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Granada, although our goal is to electrify our entire national fleet.
At our main base on Calle Luis I in Madrid, we have solar panels that power all the chargers for our vehicles.
It’s also worth noting that in the Netherlands, where we operate vehicles in both Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the fleet is 100% electric, in full compliance with the country’s regulations.
Lastly, in Atlanta, United States, we also have an electrified fleet, as well as AVOMO — which you may be familiar with from previous articles — our brand dedicated to autonomous vehicles.
